As the only museum of Queens history in the borough, the Society plans, researches and mounts a regular series of history­related exhibitions and lecture series in its gallery space totaling 1,350 square feet at the Kingsland Homestaed. It also conducts walking tours of the borough.

Organized in 1977, the PLSI’s mission is to: enrich Staten Island’s sense of community by promoting and advocating the conservation of its diverse and significant historic built environment and cultural landscapes.
